Fixed Earth Station Antennas
EmeaSat supplies a full line of fixed satellite communication antennas for VSATs and fixed earth station antennas in C-band, Ku-band and Ka-band with diameters ranging from 0.6m to 9.4m. Available are Transmit/Receive and Receive-Only type-approved antenna systems for use with any commercial satellite in the world. Antenna motorization and satellite tracking systems are offered for operation with satellites in geostationary and inclined orbits. Various types of mounts are available for every antenna in your broadband communications satellite systems.
A communications satellite is a radio relay station in orbit above the earth that receives, amplifies, and redirects analog and digital signals carried on a specific radio frequency.
In addition to communications satellites, there are other types of satellites:
Weather satellites: These satellites provide meteorologists with scientific data to predict weather conditions and are equipped with advanced instruments
Earth observation satellites: These satellites allow scientists to gather valuable data about the earth's ecosystem
Navigation satellites: Using GPS technology these satellites are able to provide a person's exact location on Earth to within a few meters.

Telstra Mobile Satellite is a mobile phone solution which uses unique Iridium™ Satellite technology to deliver a portable voice and data phone service in the remotest locations around Australia1.
The developers of the Iridium Satellite System used the familiar GSM mobile network as the model for their satellite network therefore physically, a Telstra Mobile Satellite handset looks and works like a terrestrial mobile phone, except it is slightly bigger with more powerful batteries. The coverage area serviced by the 66 orbiting Iridium satellites is virtually Australia wide.
Telstra has designed a range of access plans from which you can choose and the Iridium designed handsets come with a wide range of useful accessories to make calling from a vehicle, boat, or on foot, as simple and convenient as possible.
Objective: The Advanced Satellite Mobile Systems Task Force (ASMS-TF) is an independent, industry-led body, committed to the successful introduction and development of advanced (including 3G and beyond) satellite mobile communications systems and services. The TF was formed in March 2001, at the initiative of EC and ESA. Some of the goals of the TF are to coordinate ongoing and future RandD efforts and to provide inputs to entities like the EC and ESA in support of future MSS development.
Our satellite cell phone products work over two types of satellite networks—geostationary networks that are higher and more powerful for purposes of data sharing, and LEO networks that are closer to earth and more reliable in harsh weather and remote locations.
Inmarsat and Thuraya networks use satellites that are higher and more powerful. For a user who needs not only satellite phone service, but also file sharing and services like video streaming, phones that work over these networks are the ones to choose. (Getting these services at remote locations sometimes requires large satellite dishes, so note that BGAN terminals are smaller than a laptop and, therefore, easier to transport.).Getting online is a way of life for many people, and RVers are no exception. If you enjoy traveling off the beaten path with your RV, the only way to guarantee connectivity is through a mobile satellite Internet solution. Although the upfront and ongoing costs of a mobile satellite system are higher than other Internet connectivity options, this type of system is the best way to ensure connectivity wherever you park your RV.
