INQ decided to top let all Android smartphone owners get their social apps, which up until this point were available only for INQ-based devices like the INQ Cloud Touch. The company launched three apps in the Android Market.Intel is reportedly planning to discontinue development of the MeeGo platform, due to lack of interest by the hardware makers. Originally created by combining Intel’s Moblin and Nokia’s Maemo platforms, MeeGo was envision as a powerful Linux-based OS that could work on smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and netbooks.
Philips has decided to make its line of Fidelio iPod audio docks Android friendly. Their trick is to use the so called “adjustable micro USB connector” which can work with various smartphones and tablets. What’s more, the company also unveiled a new Android app to make the docks sing along in harmony with your Android device.You may don’t like the auto-lock feature of the iPhone. A single minute may not be enough for you. Guess what – you can change that timing, setting it up to 5 minutes or turn it off altogether. If you opt for the latter option (“Never” auto-lock), you’ll have to manually turn off the screen before putting the iPhone in your pocket.
Good news for those of you looking to grab the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray. The Swedish-Japanese handset maker has started shipping the compact Android smartphone to various retailers all around the world. According to some sources, among the first markets to get it are UK, Russia, UAE and some other European countries.TomTom has started testing its iPad app and is looking forward to launch it at some point in the fall. While we don’t have the exact launch date, we do know it won’t be released as a separate application, but the one that will work both on the iPhone and iPad.
