ATT iPhone 4 ATT iPhone 4, iPhone 4 to the Verizon Wireless smartphone

AT&T iPhone 4

New Apple iPhone 4 features video calls, multitasking, HD video, and access. On an iPhone 4, you can connect to other devices via Wi-Fi as well as through Bluetooth and USB. The iPhone 3GS only supports Bluetooth and USB. An AT&T.Throw away your MiFi! Forego the heartbreak of tethering! Give up the struggle of Internet Sharing from a mobile broadband modem through your laptop! The iOS 4.3 Personal Hotspot feature can slice (through your mobile bill), dice (up your cables), and make pounds and pounds of Wi-Fi devices connect to the Internet. But, wait! There’s more! Personal Hotspot does its job well, too.Personal Hotspot replaces and expands the tethering feature introduced on AT&T iPhones with iOS 4 (and for iPhones outside the U.S. with iOS 3). Tethering is a one-to-one connection that allows a single computer or other compatible device to use a phone as a modem over Bluetooth or via a USB cable. Personal Hotspot for the iPhone 4 includes both of those options as well as sharing via Wi-Fi, and expanding Bluetooth sharing to handle up to three devices. (The new features aren't available for the iPhone 3GS, even though it can be upgraded to iOS 4.3.).

The Personal Hotspot feature requires the DataPro tier of AT&T’s data plan, which is $25 per month for up to 2GB of data. The Personal Hotspot features adds $20 per month, but also beefs up monthly data usage to 4GB. This is a combined pool you can use either for data consumed or produced by apps on the phone and any tethered or Wi-Fi devices.
Feds Block AT&T Merger Plans
The Setup: The U.S. Department of Justice Wednesday said AT&T's purchase of T-Mobile, a multi-billion dollar deal that would have put AT&T on top of mobile competition, may violate U.S. antitrust laws, and "substantially lessen competition" in the wireless market, meaning Sprint may still have a chance after all.
The 22-year-old guy at the house admitted he was at the bar on the night the phone was left behind, but denied knowing anything about it. He let the police search his house, but they didn't find the phone. Apple reportedly offered him cash in exchange for the device with "no questions asked," but the 22-year-old maintained his original story. Apple: 0 points, Lost IPhone 5: 0 points

But according to a document claimed to be from internal Apple sales training for the release of unlocked iPhone 4s and sent to MacRumors, the move is actually a broader one: All AT&T iPhone 4s sold at the no commitment pricing now automatically come unlocked, even if sold with an AT&T micro-SIM.

Customers will recognize the new device for its Apple pedigree, not Verizon. Apple's iTunes is front and center, not Verizon's V Cast. There's also no VZ Navigator navigation app option, though Verizon says both V Cast and VZ Navigator apps are in the works.
Shortcomings of the two smartphones are the same. The battery can't be removed. There's no support for Flash video on the Web.
